Google Joins Theta Network

Google is set to become the protocol’s fifth external validator node. As part of the agreement, the tech giant Google is assisting Theta network with its Mainnet 2.0 launch, “Google Cloud is an enterprise validator of the blockchain – participating in the security and governance of the network – while Theta is staking tokens for that node”.Google is set to become the protocol’s fifth external validator node.

Players such as Binance, Blockchain Ventures and Gumi Crypto were already external enterprise validators that propose and validate new blocks on the Theta blockchain after Google joins-in, it also becomes Theta’s preferred cloud provider. In due course,  Theta Network has plans to have 31 external enterprise validators.

Entering the Gaming Market

Silver.TV, a San Jose, California based IPTV company has its Blockchain arm as Theta Labs. The Theta Labs has developed a platform that aims at bringing esports streaming onto the blockchain, that will enable microtransactions in a secure environment. The blockchain platform by Theta Labs is focused on bringing esports streaming onto the blockchain, enabling microtransactions in a secure environment.

Theta labs have developed ‘Theta Network’ a blockchain-based, content-delivery platform that enables high-bandwidth content delivery using decentralized technology. Theta also aims to further collaborate with Google’s AI, ML, and big-data drive to further progress. The key advantage is that YouTube is owned by Google, the prime attraction for Theta’s partnership aspirations.

The hard fork may increase the value of Theta Fuel (TFUEL) the second token that powers on-chain operations.
